The Drifting Classroom @ The Zanzibar Club, 10/12/2016 / by Andrew Wilson

This weekend gone saw my first time photographing a live show. This is something I've wanted to try for a while, so when I was asked by my friend Marc Sunderland if I wanted to photograph his band 'The Drifting Classroom' (thedriftingclassroom.com) I decided to give it a go!

'The Drifting Classroom' are a four-piece folk-rock band based in Liverpool. They released their first album 'Oubliette' (available here on Spotify and iTunes) in the summer and are busy working away on their next album. Allow me to introduce the members of the band:

Marc Sunderland - Guitar & Vocals.

Richard Jones – Keyboards.

Allan Falcon – Drums & Percussion

Dave Drury - Bass.

'The Drifting Classroom' and other bands were taking part in a charity gig for Warchild at The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool. Typically for a music venue the level of light was low and each member of the band were lit differently. Fortunately my equipment can deal with a low-light situation well and my general experience helped me to adapt. I enjoyed the challenge!

So here are the rest of the photos. I hope you enjoy them!
