Towards the end of last year I took a weekend trip to Lisbon, and as I’d never been to Lisbon or Portugal I was looking forward to going somewhere new.
However, looking back on these photos has taken on a bit of a different meaning to me since the COVID-19 situation escalated to lock-down in many countries around the world. Normally most of us are fortunate to have a level of freedom to travel and explore places, but it could be quite a while until we are able to travel again like this - it’s a strange thought when we’ve become so accustomed to this way of life. Even when we can travel again will we find things are the same as before or not? We may find that many places might take some time, or perhaps even struggle, to recover from these unprecedented events.
For now though I hope you’re all staying safe, doing well and enjoy this little look back on my photos from Lisbon…
